Get up to €600 for delayed flights in Turkey

Your rights;

If your flight was cancelled or delayed, or you were denied boarding, you may be entitled to compensation under SHY-PASSENGER protection law. This compensation is not dependent on the airline’s policy and may apply even if the airline claims that the delay or cancellation was due to circumstances beyond their control. To claim this compensation, you can contact the airline directly or do the claim through us.

Compensation rates:

SHY-PASSENGER: Cancellation / denied boarding / delay

Under SHY-law, Any awards will be provided in Turkish Lira, equivalent to the Euro amounts listed in the table. To calculate the Lira amount, we’ll look at the Central Bank of the Turkish Republic’s foreign exchange rate on the exact day you paid for your ticket. By basing the exchange rate on your original purchase date, you receive the full, fair compensation owed in the relevant currency.

So… Who Can Apply?

The Regulations shall apply to passengers who:

– Have confirmed reservations for the scheduled flight, whether operated by a Turkish or foreign carrier, departing from a Turkish airport. These passengers must arrive at the check-in counter prior to scheduled departure, except in cases where the flight has been cancelled per Article 6.

– Have confirmed reservations for a non-scheduled, charter flight operated by a Turkish carrier, arriving at or departing from a Turkish airport. These passengers must be present at check-in before the posted departure time, unless the flight is cancelled as outlined in Article 6.

The key things to know:

– You can’t “double dip” – if you already got compensation under the rules of the departing country, you can’t claim twice.

– We’ll make sure to claim under whichever rules get you the most compensation. Some countries cap compensation lower than others, so we’ll choose strategically.

– Before submitting a claim, always double check which country’s laws entitle you to the maximum payout. We’ve got your back on picking the most favorable conditions.

– No matter your route or airline, if your flight arrives in or departs from the EU or UK, you are covered. We’ll determine the best approach to get you the compensation you deserve.€
